Welcome to My Blog!
Learn, share and create the strategies that get things built!
Who Am I?
My name is Gil and I have been in the industry for over 30 years. I am a consultant who helps people who build things learn and grow by sharing ideas, strategies, tactics and systems that can catapult their careers, work and life. My career has taken me from Architecture to Developer and everywhere in between. I like to say that I have experienced the industry from every seat at the table and then some. The one thing that has been consistent is my passion for invention, discernment and my curiosity for learning.
What Is This Blog About?
My blog is about sharing the ideas, and information that I have been able to gleam over the past 30 years, that have helped me move past failures and achieve the successes that I am proud of as well as the things I am learning now that I know will be helpful to those it resonates with.
Why Am I Blogging?
I started this blog after a 10 year journey of DOING things for the few and realizing that I could have a greater impact on changing the system that so many people in the industry complain about. Through sharing my experience and my passion for teaching and learning I hope to teach, embolden, encourage and reframe the discussion about building. This is the change that I seek to make.
What to Expect?
You can expect a little philosophy, and a lot of practical advice on how to break into or through the issues that plague the building process. Things that have helped me on my journey, when I felt lost and unappreciated or just unhappy with the results I was getting.
We will share step-by-step guides, project showcases, interviews with fellow builders. Some tips and tricks to overcome common challenges and highlight innovative tools and materials.
I want this blog to be a treasure trove of inspiration and practical advice.
