GRPM's Morning Momentum Checklist

Use this every morning before 9 AM. Print it. Laminate it. Make it muscle memory.


1. Walk the Site (10–15 min)

  • ☐ Check high-risk areas (e.g., lifts, trenches, deliveries)

  • ☐ Confirm crew arrival + subcontractor presence

  • ☐ Scan for yesterday's incomplete work or safety issues


2. Update the Daily Board

  • ☐ Write today's top 3 priorities

  • ☐ Post schedule milestones or key targets

  • ☐ Flag deliveries, inspections, or constraints


3. 10-Minute Morning Huddle

  • ☐ Who's on site? Who's missing?

  • ☐ What's the ONE success metric today?

  • ☐ What's today's biggest risk?

4. Leadership Presence

  • ☐ Check in with foremen and crew leads

  • ☐ Walk with purpose, not panic

  • ☐ Be visible, approachable, and clear

5. Red Flag Review

  • ☐ Review your mental list: what's popped up more than once this week?

  • ☐ Write it down. Repeat problems are system problems.

  • ☐ Flag it for root cause analysis later. Don't ignore patterns.
